Parish Schools
Prior to 2024, Kilbourne High School (PreK-12 grade HAWKS) was the cornerstone of our little community. Due to shrinking enrollments and higher education costs, the students from our little school were merged into the Forest High School and the Oak Grove High School for 2024 and into the future. West Carroll Parish School Board and staff have worked very hard to make this transition smooth and effecient. Their Mission is to provide the highest quality education by creating life-long learners through comprehensive academic, athletic, cultural, and extra-curricular opportunities for the children of our community.
The school district's vision is to partner with our community, as a stable, safe and caring “hometown” learning environment that focuses on the changing needs of our students and achieves educational excellence.
